Where Are You From
I grew up in the Bethany/Sullivan area and graduated from Bethany High School. I attended Lake Land College in Mattoon, Illinois. My husband Chris and I have lived in the Charleston area for over 40 years, where we raised our daughter Rachel.
Insurance Background
I bring over 40 years of experience to the insurance industry. I began my career in the billing department at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, where I worked for 12 years. For the past 28 years, I’ve served clients as a licensed agent and customer service representative. My expertise spans a range of health insurance products including individual ACA/Obamacare plans, Medicare, Part D, MAPD, dental, vision, and group health insurance—as well as home and auto coverage. I love working with people, helping them save money, and resolving claims issues with care and persistence. I treat my clients the way I would want my own family to be treated.
Family
I’ve been married to my husband Chris for nearly 40 years. We have a wonderful daughter, Rachel, a son-in-law Justin, and three amazing grandchildren—Ainsley Rose, Liam, and Matthew. Our home is also shared with two dogs and eight beloved cats.
Hobbies
I enjoy decorating cakes, baking for others, and planting flowers around my home.
Interests
Spending time with family and friends is my greatest joy—especially spontaneous wiener roasts by our family pond, no matter the season. I cherish walks with my husband and our dogs, traveling with one of my lifelong friends Paulette, and helping my mother through her journey with dementia. Loving her through this chapter has been a blessing and an honor.
Random Fact About You That Most People Don’t Know
My parents named me after my dad’s grade school girlfriend—who I actually met at his funeral. She kindly clarified the “grade school” part!
Favorite Vacation or Dream Destination
Growing up, I traveled extensively out West. In recent years, I’ve fallen in love with Mackinac Island—visiting three times and finding it to be the most peaceful place I’ve ever experienced. Paulette and I are now setting our sights east, with the goal of exploring the Atlantic coast and every state along the way.
